Summary
A woman's song of unrequited love. A girl declares that three things come without bidding: fear, jealousy and love. Her beloved has taken a girl with a larger dowry in her place and she is deeply distressed and unhappy. She says that if she saw him approaching that her heart would soar and that each grey hair on her head would turn as yellow as the flowers on the riverbank.
