Summary
A man's song of unrequited love. He mourns that the girl he loves has left him and vows that no other will take her place. He asks her not to forget the promise she made to him one night, in the door of the Royal Hotel, and also the promise she made as they went down the Brae, that neither God nor man would see another but her on his arm. He first saw her sitting in the prow of the boat when he was just sixteen years of age and has been in love with her since then.
