Summary

A fragment of a man's love song to Mary MacNaughton, the young brown-haired girl. He says that since she has given her promise that she will not be seen as a dairymaid the following year. She will not take to do with another in case it bothers him; no other girl pleases him but her.

The contributor tells that the song was composed by 'Am Ministear Dall' [The Blind Minister]. He fell in love with the girl, but her parents wouldn't let her marry him because he was blind.

Item Notes
