Summary
Neil tricked the drunken gauger.
A man called Neil had illicit whisky when the gauger appeared, drunk. He said he would let him off if he could sleep with his sister. Neil agreed, and then gave the gauger more drink until he fell asleep. He put him to bed and slept beside him himself. In the morning, he told the gauger he had been with the sister.
