Summary
In this waulking song, a woman watches a hind and her mate playing together early in the morning. Unlike her, they are happy. In the section which follows the double chorus, the composer wishes she could spend a week in the form of a goose, mallard or seagull. She would swim across the sea, and climb the castle. She would release the youngest son of Clan Lachlan. She describes his handsome appearance.
