Summary

The singer remembers getting a licking [spanking] as a child, being smacked with bauchles [slippers] and a cane, sent to his room, and slapped on the jaw; but he preferred the tawse [strap]. His mother had cut a pair of straps from an old sheepskin. They were soft and thin and did not hurt though he cried as if they did.
