Summary

The young man asks his mother to agree that his Peggy is a beauty, but she points out that she lies in bed till eleven in the morning. Her father promises him horses and a small farm, so his mother changes her mind.

Elsie Morrison heard this from a lad who worked in the distillery when she was about fifteen. He was known as 'Singin Jockie'.
