Summary
Clanranald and the wild men.
Clanranald was unable to pay the rent on his estate. He sent for six strong young men and provided them with clothes and big boots to wear. He fed them well and told them not to shave. When the rent collectors arrived, they were to be served dinner and the young men were to behave in a wild fashion. The rent collectors were all frightened off. Clanranald was very grateful and provided the young men with clothes etc. before they returned home.
