Summary

This song, which was used as waulking song, is a man's song to his boat. The chorus says: "I would sport with the dark-haired girl, and arise in the morning." Throughout the song, the boat is portrayed as a beautiful girl, who is described in detail. The final couplet says: "I would sport with you and talk, as we went round the point of Stoer."
