Summary
Clan Ranald kills a ploughman but his son exacts vengeance.
The story of Clan Ranald who, out of offended dignity, killed the ploughman who picked up and ate a root in front of a visitor. The widow, who was also to be killed, escaped and brought up their young son. He later returned to exact vengeance.
