Summary
How the MacLaines acquired Lochbuie.
The MacFadyens had Lochbuie before the MacLaines. They agreed to give MacLaine a parcel of land the size of a cow hide to build a house. MacLaine cut the hide in strips the size of shoelaces and tied them together. This covered a large piece of ground and they built a castle upon it. They were strong and pushed the MacFadyens out.
