Summary

Donald the Harrisman was murdered in North Uist and his son killed the murderer.

There was a man in North Uist at one time who was known as Donald the Harrisman and who was famed for his strength and skill with the sword. He had many enemies and they organised a feast for him. There, he was killed by a man named Paul. After several years, Donald's son came of age and he was also a powerful man. He went looking for Paul and found him at Paiblesgarry, where he killed him with his sword close to Kilmuir Church. The spot is known as 'Leathad Phòil' [Paul's Slope] to this day.
