Summary

In the first section of this waulking song, the composer speaks of being disgraced or insulted. In the section which follows, the composer's father is praised and his skill as a hunter of geese, grouse and moor-hens is described. In the final section, a wish is expressed that various men will come. They include the tacksmen of Boreray, Vallay and Grimsay.
