Summary
The contributor talks about the people who lived on a croft called 'Manitoba' and tells a little about his father. He then sings a song which tells about the emigration of Tiree people to Canada. The poet has no companions left and the carefree days of boyhood are over. The island is empty except for sheep, symbolising the greed of the landowners.
