Summary
A song about the Berneray lads who were sent overseas at the time of the war. The person in this song sings about the boys from his island who went abroad to fight at the time of the war. He praises the island where they were brought up and says that some of them went to France, others to Egypt and Greece. He tells of how people will miss them greatly at social gatherings. The contributor says that she learned the song from her brother Aonghas, who learned it from Eachann [Hector].
