Summary
How tweed was made on Mingulay.
On Mingulay, the women would work during the winter making tweed. The wool was washed, dried, carded, spun and then woven on a loom. It was then waulked. They would make men's clothing from white cloth and blue cloth, and drugget clothing for themselves known as 'còtaichean drogaid'.
