Summary
Selling livestock and the overland route through Jura.
When the contributor was young, every household kept two pigs. They were sold in the Lowlands. Now [1970], livestock is sold in Oban. People had to walk with the animals to the ferry, but now they go by vehicle. At one time, there were plans to create an overland route through Jura, to the mainland, with a ferry terminal at Lagg.
