Summary
Some information on the houses of earlier times.
The hearth would have stones around it. There was a house with the fire in the middle of the floor. If there was a big gathering, people would shift to the far end of the house. They would sit on a creel. There would be much music, songs and dancing going on, with old tunes. There were chains for cooking-pots in some houses. Beds were made up from cotton-grass and grass.
