Summary
Pipe Major Nicol sings, in canntaireachd form, the ground and first line of variation 1 of the ceòl mòr 'Moladh Mòraig' [Marion's Wailing]. He relates that Mòrag was the name for Prince Charlie when he was escaping through the Highlands dressed as a woman. He says the tune is difficult to keep in balance, and has a hard crunluath a-mach variation which he demonstrates in canntaireachd form.
