Summary - Malcolm MacPherson's compositions.

Conversation regarding Malcolm MacPherson's, the contributor's father, own compositions. In 1886 he composed the ceòl mòr 'Lament for Cluny MacPherson'. This was written down by Pipe Major Robert Meldrum, one of his pupils, and the contributor has a copy of this manuscript. There was another manuscript book of his father's music written by Pipe Major John Connon, but it was lent out and lost. Malcolm MacPherson had a copy of Angus MacKay's book and used to point out errors which, he maintained, were the fault of the printers.
