Summary
The (supposed) composer of this sailor's song asks a friend to tell him all the local news when he writes. He thinks of the girl he loves. She is warm and safe in her bed, while he is sailing on a stormy sea. He will always be faithful to the girl. If he could, he would steer the ship to Loch a' Bhàigh.
Item Notes
The song was composed by Hector MacKinnon as it it were by Alasdair Dhòmhnaill Bhàin. See Xerox copy of Neil Turner's MS p. 9. Note changes in text.
