Information about fowling in St Kilda.
The St Kildans went fulmar hunting in August and September. They collected gannets' eggs in April. Puffins were also snared in April. They used a rod twelve to fifteen feet long for this, with a noose on the end. Several kinds of birds were salted for the winter.
