Summary - The young man goes to the wedding of his former love. He tells her she has been beguiled and is only his old shoes. He drinks her health. He is asked how many blackberries grow round a salt sea, and he asks how many ships sail in a forest. He is heartbroken but says that she has lain with him and she cannot deny it. He will lie down and die; they can cover him over, for it is the only way he can forget her.
