The Queen Among the Heather

Title - The Queen Among the Heather
Contributors - Sheila Stewart
Reporters - Stephanie Smith Perrin

Summary - In this song, a man encounters a shepherdess amongst the heather, the fairest girl he has ever seen. He tries to woo her by offering her silks and satins, but believing him to be a rich squire's son, and not a shepherd or ploughman as she would have liked, she declines his offer. The man perseveres, and eventually manages to woo her.
