Eachdraidh-beatha

Daughter of celebrated Traveller singer Jeannie Robertson (1908-1975) and Traveller piper Donald Higgins (1907-1971). Born in Guest Row, Aberdeen, and raised in Aberdeen and Banchory. She was a fish filleter who found fame in her own right as a traditional singer later in life. Her singing style is particularly noticeable for having been influenced by her father's pipe music.
