Biography

Born 1926 in Blairgowrie, Perthshire. He was a writer and journalist who did much pioneering fieldwork in Perthshire and the wider Tayside region, passing on his findings to Hamish Henderson to follow up. He was the first to visit the Stewarts of Blair, Martha 'Peasie' Johnstone, and Mary Brooksbank, among many others.
