Summary
Recollections of Pipe Major Jock MacLellan during WWI and after.
Jock MacLellan came from Dunoon, and was Pipe Major of the 8th (Argyllshire) Battalion. Jock MacShannon went all through France with him in the First World War. In civilian life MacLellan was a painter; he used to come to Kintyre to paint halls, etc. and stayed with Jock MacShannon.
Jocular remark about MacLellan's mother being a big woman from Dunoon like the statue of Highland Mary.
