Biography

Finlay was from Point in the Isle of Lewis. He was the director of Comhairle nan Sgoiltean Àraich for many years. This organisation provided pre-school education through the medium of Gaelic and the groups set up for this purpose were known as ‘cròileagain’. They were located in many parts of Scotland and provided an excellent opportunity for young children to be immersed in the language.
