Tobar an Dualchais has secured permissions from the relevant rights holders to publish this material on our website in order for you to listen to the recordings. However, Tobar an Dualchais owns no rights in the material itself and can therefore not authorise any further use of the material.

The copyright owner has the exclusive right to copy or authorise the copying of a work of any type. This includes any form of copying including (but not restricted to) for instance, transcription & translation or adaptation.

NB – there are at least two separate copyrights in the material on the website – the sound recording copyright held by the School of Scottish Studies Archives or the BBC or the National Trust for Scotland and the content copyright held by the contributor (or next of kin), plus any additional rights in the music or material recited.
