Biography

Donald 'Hilltops' MacMaster was born in 1879 in Kinloch Rannoch, Perthshire. A piper in the Black Watch, he saw action in both the Boer War and the First World War.

He was recorded by Calum Iain Maclean in 1958, speaking about the history of piping in the Loch Rannoch area.
