Summary
The water-horse.
A story about the contributor's uncle and another man, Duncan, who were returning home late after poaching. Whilst they were resting at Lochan na Goibhre near Achadh na h-Àirde one of them said he could see a water-horse on the far side of the loch. When they walked round, they discovered that it was only a clump of rushes swaying in the breeze. When Duncan arrived home, he saw his sister's daughter Kirsty outside the house, and so he asked his sister why she wasn't in bed. He was told that Kirsty had been in bed for hours, and so he realised that he had been sleep-walking.
