Summary
Halloween customs in Perthshire.
They went guising at Halloween; they went to houses, swept the floor and tidied up. People had to give them money or food etc. in return. They also sang or recited a poem when they went to doors. They had a bonfire made of wood, bracken etc. and danced round it. It was a night for playing tricks: they tied doors, changed animals and blocked chimneys. Mention of Gìsearan [guisers].
