Summary
A missing child was found with the aid of a woman who had second sight.
A woman who lived in Rannoch had second sight, and people consulted her about missing persons. She would take no money for helping with this. Once, the four-year-old daughter of a shepherd in Glen Quaich near Amulree went missing. People searched for her with dogs for a week without success. The woman at Rannoch was consulted and said the girl was alive and lying beside a burn [stream] with something white watching over her at night. The child was found as the woman had said, only 500 yards from her home. The white thing was a sheep. The girl had survived by eating grass and drinking the water of the burn.
