Summary
Sharing seaweed as fertiliser.
The grazing constable would share the seaweed on the shore by casting lots. A sign was erected each day when there was seaweed on the shore. Disputes often arose. Many would go out at three a.m. to get seaweed as it was so valuable as fertiliser.
