Summary
In this waulking song, the composer states that it is the beginning of autumn and they have been asked to guard the barn. The following lines refer to a woman who has chosen a young man who is skilled and sensible and who is not being hunted by enemies. In the final lines, the composer speaks of her love for the son of the weaveress. She would trust his ability as a seaman.
