Summary
A poor woodcutter wasted the three wishes given him by a fairy.
While a poor woodcutter was resting from his work and eating a dry piece [of bread] a fairy appeared to him and gave him three wishes. While considering with his wife what they would wish for he accidentally wished for a sausage. His wife berated him for wasting one of the wishes. The woodcutter forgot himself and wished the sausage to be on the end of his wife's nose. He had to use the third wish to get it off, so he wasted the three wishes.
