Summary

In this love song, the bard says that he will stand up for the girl he loves. He would recognise her step among the thousands on the pavement. He states that he will clear Mary's name, and would swear even before the Kirk Session, that he found no wrong in her. If he had intentions of marrying, she would be his first choice. Her hair is golden and ringleted and her kiss is like honey.

Item Notes

Four quatrains sung plus quatrain choruses at the beginning and end. Single-line choruses elsewhere.
