Summary

A love song and a waulking song. A girl is walking the hillside on a May morning and meets another. She asks her for news from Sleat and of Donald, her beloved. She had heard that he was betrothed to the daughter of the Earl and said that, if she found this to be true, she would shed blood and sever sinews and would then sail away to Uist. She asks Colla why she should make it her business to look upon a man without honour who abused her.
