Summary
Nettle cure for bleeding.
In olden times nettles could provide a cure for serious nose bleeds or a bleeding stomach. The nettles would be boiled into pulp, then syed in a syer [sieved in a sieve] and the liquid bottled. The extract was to be taken first thing in the morning before any food and another tumblerful taken at night until the bleeding ceased. The most powerful, three-year-old, nettle medicine was reserved for cases where the bleeding was very bad.
