Summary
The bard thinks back to his days hunting the greylag geese and the deer. On his return to Uist after the 1914-18 war, he found that the land, and the fishing and hunting rights, were still in the hands of the landowners. The bard hopes that the Highlanders will fight for their rights.

6 (8-line) verses sung. The song was composed by Donald MacDonald (Dòmhnall Ruadh Chorùna) who was born in 1887 and died in 1967. William Matheson heard the song from Calum Dhòmhnaill Bhàin.
