Summary
The newly wed weaver refuses to eat anything but gruel. His bride says there are no spoons, so he asks for a spade. She says there is no pot; he says he'll use the washing pot. She brings cakes and wine but he spurns them. The singer advises any young woman to avoid marrying a weaver who thinks more of his porridge than of her.
