Summary
The murder of Fingal, Ossian's burial place and biography of a local character.
Fingal is reportedly buried in Killin. He was murdered on the shores of Loch Dochart. His son Ossian was buried in the Sma' Glen. When the English attempted to built a road over the burial place, 8000 Highlanders came to the glen. They re-buried Ossian somewhere else in the glen, but the exact location has been lost. His skeleton was said to be that of a man eight feet in height. The contributor heard these, and many other tales, from a local man, Donald Haggart. He was an expert botanist and had a great interest in local history and traditions.
