Summary

Storytellers and stories.

The contributor's father was the youngest of the family. When he was young, he filled bobbins for his father, who was a weaver. That is where he learnt stories from the old men. Alexander MacPhee was a storyteller at the time. He died in 1904.

People came to listen to stories told by the contributor's father. The contributor did not pay attention to them until a few years before his father died. An amusing story is told about Alexander MacPhee, who said that he could speak English and also a little French.
