Summary
A local song about a new house which the bard was soon to move into.
Composed by Gilleasbaig MacNeil, the Colonsay bard who died in 1924 aged about 80. He had been reluctant to leave his old home, hence the song. He had been a lobster fisherman in the summer and a rabbit trapper in the winter. He did not marry but he still [1953] has relatives in Colonsay. He was the last bard.
