Summary
This bothy ballad describes working life at Drumdelgie farm. The men are up early in the morning and work hard in difficult conditions. Besides work, the farmer runs a Sunday School to teach the young and innocent the gospel. The singer is leaving Drumdelgie and its characters, whom he calls a most uncivil crew.
