Summary
A little girl shared her dinner with a snake, and when her parents killed it she pined away and died.
A little girl always took her dinner outside to eat it among the heather. Her mother wondered why she did this, and followed her one day. She heard the little girl say, "Green Coat, Green Coat, come tae yer dinner." A big snake then came out of the heather and shared the girl's dinner. The girl's parents killed the snake, and after that the girl pined away and died.
