Summary

A look at the time of the Covenanters.

Professor Douglas MacMillan and Aonghas MacNeacail speak about how the National Covenant arose in Scotland and the history of the Covenanters in the following years. They discuss matters in Greyfriars Church in Edinburgh, in which many of the Covenanters put their name to the National Covenant in 1638. They talk in broad terms about what happened in Scotland and Britain at the time of the Covenanters and look in particular at the struggle between the defenders of the Covenant and the Stuart Kings.
