Summary
The minister and the nets which were full of herring.
There was once a superstitious skipper by the name of Alasdair Sutherland. On one occasion, a minister sat on a pile of nets which belonged to him. When the minister had left, Alasdair informed his crew that there was no point in setting the nets until they had been re-barked. Despite his superstitions, the nets were set, and the following morning a large catch of herring was taken.
