Summary
A song in praise of the sailors from Lewis who served in the Second World War. The government promised them houses if the war was won, but did not live up to the promise. Some people were forced to emigrate. The composer himself is on a ship in the middle of the Pacific, wishing he could be in Lewis with his family.
